Analytical chemists
As an analytical chemist you determine the structure, composition, and nature of substances by examining and identifying their various elements or compounds. You are absolutely crucial to the pharmaceutical industry because pharmaceutical companies need to know the identity of compounds that they hope to turn into drugs. Furthermore, you develop analytical techniques and study the relationships and interactions among the parts of compounds. You may also identify the presence and concentration of chemical pollutants in air, water, and soil.
